Steve Yim began playing electric guitar in bands in his teenage years, but soon shifted his focus to classical guitar after seeing a local guitarist perform. He began learning the Suzuki repertoire with our own guitar instructor, Anthony DiMambro, and went on to study under Brian Roberts at Wayne State University, earning a degree in Classical Guitar Performance.
Steve teaches children and adults both classical and electric guitar and enjoys introducing students of one style to the other.
When Steve isn’t playing guitar, he’s usually riding his bicycle or skateboarding with his brother.
