Noor Jumaa grew up in Iraq and began her studies in piano at the age of four. In 2009, she moved to Lebanon, where she lived for two years. She studied and taught piano private lessons and theory group classes in both Iraq and Lebanon. In 2011 she moved to Michigan, and earned her degree in Piano Performance from Wayne State University in 2017. She studied piano with Saad Hikmat, Leszek Bartkiewicz, and Robert Conway.
Noor was introduced to the Suzuki method in 2018 and started taking the training in summer of the same year. Her first training course was with Caroline Fraser.
Noor likes to read, explore the beautiful and historic sights of Detroit, and spend time with family and friends.
