Andrew d’Allemand has taught violin and viola at Suzuki Royal Oak since 2011. He began playing the violin at the age of three, studying with Mark Mutter at Suzuki Royal Oak where he went on tour to Disney World and England. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan School of Music where he studied privately under Aaron Berofsky and studied chamber music with Andrew Jennings and Katherine Votapek.
While at U of M, Andrew performed on William Bolcom’s album Songs of Innocence and of Experience which won the 2005 Grammy Award for Classical Album of the Year. He has also studied instrumental music education at Wayne State University.
In addition to playing the violin and viola, Andrew also plays guitar, piano, and writes music.
